We're an SF based SaaS company building an industry changing platform.

We are looking for backend Python engineers to join our team and take our products to the next level.

We are solving all-new problems within the data engineering space that require out-of-the-box thinking, and you will be a key contributor with lots of opportunity to influence the course of our product development.

This role is 100% remote and we are open to folks working from anywhere!

Requirements

Implement software with a focus on clean and well-structured code
Design & deploy services to secure our multi-tenant architecture
Design & manage performant and fault-tolerant data pipelines and sinks at scale (e.g., caches, queues, warehouses, processors)
Deploy and monitor production services
Optimize software architecture and instrumentation to deliver cost improvements as scale hits 10x-1000x
Implement automated test scripts, and perform manual testing when necessary
Respond to system outages and issues
Work with other (remote) teams to build features together
Work closely with CTO & Head of Engineering to support customer requirements

Job Details

Qualifications

4+ years experience as a Software Engineer, Data Engineer, and/or System Architect

Required Experience In

Scalable and secure API services
Python & SQL
pub/sub messaging and protocol buffers (Kafka, Protobuf)
caches & queues (Redis, RabbitMQ, SQS)
scalable load processing (Lambdas/workers as message consumers)
modern scripting languages & industry tools (Go, JavaScript, Terraform)
serverless technologies (Lambda, DynamoDB)

Bonus points
Data Warehouses (e.g., Redshift, Presto/Hive, BigQuery, SnowflakeDB)
Big Data Processors (e.g., Spark, EMR)
ETLs and orchestration (e.g., Glue, Airflow)

Strong communication skills
capable of conducting efficient, no-ego technical discussions
capable of communicating key trade-offs and decisions to non-technical stakeholders

Proficiency in English (reading/writing/spoken)
Ownership of and pride in the work that you do
