We are currently looking for a self-motivated, Sr. DevOps Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll be involved in progressively improving our existing Linux infrastructure and making recommendations on new technology.
Primary Responsibilities
The job involves the following responsibilities: Deploy and update Linux Servers & applications as needed:
- Participate in Systems Administration and Application Development initiatives
- Primary individual for "all things" related to Systems Orchestration, Deployment Automation, and Continuous Integration.
- Act as a tier-2 SME for Source Control, Containerization, and Cloud Technology initiatives.
Job Qualifications
- To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
- Hands on experience with RHEL and Debian based distros (We use CentOS)
- Experience with automated configuration management technology (any of Ansible, Puppet, or Salt.)
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, and log analysis tools (e.g., Nagios, CheckMK, Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic Stack, and the like).
- Working knowledge of MySQL (or other equivalent transactional / RDBMS systems).
- Must have experience with server / system virtualization technologies e.g., ProxMox, KVM, VMware ESX/ESXi.
- Must have experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or other container-based technology.
- Knowledge of Java applications and the JVM.
- Experience with major Cloud Service Providers (like AWS, GCP, and Azure)
- Experience with GIT (adds, commits, branching, pushes, tagging - BTW, we use BitBucket)
- Experience with Jenkins (for continuous integration / deployment tasks).
- Strong understanding of network layers and technologies (specifically host-based)
- Solid scripting abilities for orchestration, automation, and integration, (like Bash Shell, Python, Go, or similar).
