Key Responsibilities:

• Our client is working with large datasets to build software solutions in the media services industry, for B2B order servicing, content normalization, global digital asset distribution, avails & price management and sales analytics.

  They are looking for ambitious Software Engineer with Python experience who possess a strong understanding of object-oriented design, concurrent programming and design patterns to join the Data engineering team. In this role, you can choose to work 100% remote and work in a collaborative agile environment.

  Responsibilities:

  • You will contribute with build and support data platform infrastructure which includes real-time, streaming, batch pipeline jobs for data collection, manipulation, pruning, trending and analytics for our product.
  • Lead by example, which includes designing scalable solutions, writing clean, well-tested and maintainable code.
  • Apply software design patterns to solve business problems, articulate design choices & decision process.
  • Help us make the transformation from a successful legacy product to modern data infrastructure ecosystem.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers evangelizing and driving best engineering practices, tools, process, etc.
  • Understand the importance of Quality and adopt automate everything policy.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Python 3.x, Django / Flask
• Any one Programming Language: Java / GO
• Any one of the JavaScript frameworks - React, Vue, Angular, NodeJS, etc.
• SQL, NoSQL/Hybrid databases - (MySQL/Cassandra/Elasticsearch/Big Query)
• Cloud computing platforms like AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
• Require experience building and setting up development CI/CD workflows.
• Experience building distributed, high volume data services, large scale data pipelines, is a plus.
• Prior experience working with data platform teams with large scale data retrieval, data mining, is a plus.
