Our goal is to incorporate and streamline Access Governance requirements into DevSecOps patterns reducing friction for our developer community. This is a new strategy within Access and we are looking for a strong developer excited about building creative solutions to solve complex problems. Some responsibilities include: Participates in sprint planning; provides work estimates to deliver product stories; owns development stories.Develops solutions on variety of platforms according to business requirements. Completes required coding to satisfy the defined acceptance criteria and deliver desired outcomeLeads solution design, considering risks, mitigations, performance, user experience, and testabilityAssists in development of automated testing and supporting code as necessaryUtilizes agile software development practices, data and testing standards, code reviews, source code management, continuous delivery, and software architectureParticipates in the full software development cycle including coding, testing, implementation, support and sunsetConsiders applying emerging technology solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness; expectation of continuous innovationExhibits DevOps mindset where team is accountable for product from inception to sunsetQualificationsWe Are Looking For Candidates With:Scripting: PythonAWS: AWS Lambda, AWS Athena, AWS GlueCD/CI best practices (experience w/GITLab & GitOps)Automation Scripting Spring/Spring Boot React, Angular, etc.Front-end Frameworks: REST API JavaPythonTerraformPowershellBashOther Skills/AbilitiesA team player that can challenge the status quo Strong communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to build relationships across various levels of the organizationExperience with current Secure Coding PracticesDesire to provide automated solutions for manual processes in place today Desire to learn and experiment with new technologies, frameworks, languages with comfort working in a relaxed, fun, fast paced, environmentExperience taking a software application from inception to implementationWilling to be a self-starter Experience with agile development practicesAbility to deploy applications/functions to public cloud platforms through industry tools utilized by State Farm (e.g. Terraform, Gitlab, etc.)Continued education and measurable understanding of cloud capabilities and functions.
