Direct client of Merritt Technical Associates Inc is looking for a Self-starter with excellent problem-solving & critical-thinking skills to meet complex data challenges. Flexible and comfortable with uncertainty in requirements in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment

• Able to manage a team of 5-8 Senior Data Analysts across a range of projects and tasks
• Face off to key stakeholders in the Business and Technology, on both a run and change agendas
• Manage small-to-medium size projects to the desired outcome alongside daily run duties
• Take ownership and champion data topics, with the flexibility and interpersonal skills to interact across the business, teams, and senior stakeholders. Develop data competences in the Data Operations team and drive out the Data Ops capability
• Analyze complex data sets in depth for discovery purposes, issues, and trends/patterns. Make independent/educated judgements & recommendations regarding appropriate solutions
• Design, execute and manage bulk data operations across environments, including production
• Design & develop Data Quality measures, for both run and change initiatives
• Develop and sustain relationships with data consumers and face off to the internal data consumers for daily operations
• Monitor the daily running of the production particularly with respect to correct data ingestion and data quality achieved. Manage data-related interventions through to resolution
• Monitor Data Product usage & costs including Bloomberg Data License and assist in data vendor on boarding & management activities
• Create and maintain key artifacts for end consumer on boarding guides, 'as built' high level documentation and daily running procedures
• Assist in team planning and assist in the wider team's Change Management to enable change projects & business requests
