A well loved and respected news and publishing company headquartered in center city Philadelphia is looking to add a data engineer to their team. This team is responsible for the data across various platforms including apps, newsletters, enews and events. Their tech stack is diverse and included python, node, bigquery and elasticsearch. Their data engineers work closely with the software team so experience doing end to end engineering is ideal.

The right engineer will be able to build data pipelines with python and etl, as well as work with scala. Any experience with workflow orchestration using airflow would b idea, as well as Google Cloud Platform or AWS. Their applications run on serverless microservices so exposure to similar technologies is needed.
Required Skills & Experience

• 2+ years of professional experience
• Strong programming skills with python
• Scalable ETL solutions
• Understanding of data lakes
• Orchestration tools such as airflow
• Cloud experience with Google Cloud Platform or AWS
• Kinesis
• DynamoDB
• Elastic search
