An established media company located right in NYC is looking to hire a Mid-Level Engineer to join their Marketing and Subscriptions Team. The Mid-Level Engineer would be working on a consumer-driven product that helps achieve revenue goals for the company.

The ideal candidate would come from a strong Python background, as well as experience with AWS and some data tools. Experience working with front end technologies is a big plus as the team does work with JavaScript and React. An interest in journalism and media is a huge plus.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with Python
• Familiarity with Django or Flask
• Familiarity with Front End technologies including JavaScript and React
• Experience with Linux
• AWS
• Strong SQL and NoSQL skills

• Experience with ETL pipelines
• Experience with BigQuery

• Identifying critical data-related challenges faced by the business
• Using next generation data tools
• Working alongside product engineers and product managers
