Come join us and help shape the future!WSP is currently initiating a search for a Python Developer for our San Francisco, California office.Duties and Responsibilities:Assist with the development of Python software to support transportation system management programsAssist with the development of new transportation software and new model transportation demand model implementationsTransportation data munging to identify and visualize travel patterns within regions and citiesDevelop REST APIs using Python Flask including interactions with large relational databases and standard security protocolsTalent is the essence of meeting our client's objectives, goals and challenges. If this sounds like a fit for you, we'd love to have that first discussion of you joining our team.Job Requirements Minimum Qualifications:Demonstrated experience with Python software developmentBachelors (or advanced degree) in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar field of studyExercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and proceduresProven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies Preferred Qualifications:Keen interest in urban planning, software development, and transportation demand forecastingWorking experience using Git (and Github) including markdown and Gitflow workflowsHands-on experience with the Python OpenGIS stack (e.g., Geopandas, Fiona, Shapely) and QGISWorking knowledge of web-based security frameworks like OAuth About WSP USAWSP USA is the U.S. operating company of one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
