Required Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- 5+ years of industry experience in object-oriented software development using Java or Python 3
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- A demonstrated history of successfully interfacing test software to hardware
- Demonstrated commitment to high quality
Essential Skills
- Hands on hardware experience: Board bring up, Arduino, raspberry pi, etc
- Working knowledge of software development methodologies like Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or equivalent
- Experience with microservice architecture and best practices
- Experience with Protobuf
- Experience with concurrent state machines
- Experience with AWS services such as CloudFormation, DynamoDB, AWS Lambda, S3, or other cloud service
- Strong hands-on technical abilities in programming, debugging and troubleshooting
