The DHS CDM Program mission is to safeguard and secure cyberspace in an environment where the threat of cyber-attack is continuously growing and evolving. The CDM Program defends the United States (U.S.) Federal Information Technology (IT) networks from cybersecurity threats by providing continuous monitoring sensors (tools), diagnosis, mitigation tools, and associated services to strengthen the security posture of Government networks.What You'll Get to Do:Responsible for integrating complex technical solutions using many different technologies to enhance and evolve the Cyber Security mission at DHS and its 14 "component agencies".Get ready to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty with cutting-edge cybersecurity tools in dev, test and production environments, contributing to the defense and protection of numerous systems, devices and customer data. Must reside within the United States.We are looking for a highly adaptable, highly technical "Jack of all Trades".You must know everything (yes, everything) about Python - "inside and out" with at least 10 years cumulative experience to prove it.Must have programmed complex OS (Linux, Windows) system level automation - not just the "Hello World" program.Break out the creativity! We need someone who will be able to create all sorts of technical solutions. Grasping an in-depth understanding of content as well as being able to produce your own.A desire to learn (curious), who can pick up concepts quickly and can prove "above the ordinary" technical knowledge/skills, will go a long way in this role.Do you get told how to do things in Python (then this is not for you), or do you tell others how Python can do things better for them (then keep going).Frequent customer interactions, including presenting, answering questions, proactively resolving issues.Effectively and professionally communicate with both technical and non-technical colleagues and customers at all levels of seniority.Work independently or on very small teams to integrate systems and solutions, triage issues, and prioritize tasks.Provision, install, configure, "be a detective" and other things on multiple network device types on both public and private VM and hardware infrastructures.Create and manage technical solutions. Provide in-depth understanding of content as well as (in some cases) produce your own.You may be asked to attend meetings, obtain credentials, etc. Virtually (with and without a camera), in a CACI or government office at any time.You'll Bring These Qualifications:US Citizenship requiredMust meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be successfully obtain to a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) EOD authorization. Active DoD clearance preferred, but not required.University Degree (BS), or equivalent years of related experience, and additionally 10+ years of related IT engineering experience required10+ years' cumulative experience with customer interactions, including presenting, answering questions, proactively resolving issues.10+ years' cumulative experience creating and analyzing SQL commands within code10+ years' cumulative experience creating and analyzing PowerShell, Ansible, Bash, JAVA based, YAML, C# - basically you need to know how to connect things for automation needs7+ years' cumulative experience creating and analyzing Python scripts10+ years' cumulative experience with SDLC, building, testing, and deploying, facilitating continuous integration and continuous delivery5+ years' cumulative experience In-depth system admin level understanding of Windows and/or Linux environments (MCSE or RHCE equivalence)5+ years' cumulative experience with securing systems by following STIGs, best practices, and government/compliance requirements (such as NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, FISMA, FEDRAMP), and negotiating/working-with IA personnel to arrive at sensible and effective solutions5+ years' cumulative experience with Agile/Kanban, GIT3+ years' cumulative experience with container-orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)3+ years' cumulative experience setup and integration with IIS, SQL Server1+ years' recent (within the past 5 years) experience with Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure)These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:Technical degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related subject areaRelevant Technical and/or Security Certifications (e.g. CISSP, CCNA, CCDA, CCNA-Security, etc.)One (1) of the following certifications: Azure Developer Associate, Azure DevOps Engineering Expert, Azure Data Engineering Associate, Azure AI Engineering AssociateFamiliarity with common cybersecurity tools is greatly desired.
