Our Jacksonville, Florida area client is looking for Python Data Warehouse Developer Consultant for immediate hire on a remote basis.

This will be a remote contract consulting position for the foreseeable future and we are looking for resources to begin over the next few weeks.

This is expected to be 12 months in duration with extension.

Resources will be one of three team members working on a client Data Scrum team for our their Express program. The team is responsible for building data consumption processes from their client partner into their Data Warehouse.Bi-weekly Sprints.

You will need to utilize all of the skills listed below to be successful in the position.

Must have skills:

Strong Python engineering skills, programming skills, Restful API's

Ability to create clean, easy to maintain, modify and support code

Expertise in creating and automated unit test cases

Proficient in Python best practices, logging, and strong debugging skills

Data querying and storage including SQL, Parquet, XML, JSON

Understanding of Python environments, package management

Strong SQL knowledge, able to read and understand SQL

Experience in distributed computing frameworks such as Spark

Familiar with git source control, CI/CD, agile development practices

Able to work independently and ask for guidance when needed

Strong communication skills and delivery focused

Must be a self-starter and self-motivated

8+ years of overall experience in data warehousing and data lakes

Good to have skills:

Understanding the pre-processing analytical methods

Knowledge of at least any one of the leading cloud offerings - preferred Google Cloud Platform and AWS

Strong expertise in Unix shell scripting

Expertise with ETL tools, specifically DataStage
