Description

- Work alongside Product Managers to spec, implement, test, document, and maintain software components in the core platform

- Contribute as a key member of the Engineering team on various projects while collaborating with members from other teams

- Actively participate in code reviews and spec reviews

- Attend Zoom meetings such as standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and all-hands

- Find the perfect balance between high quality code and getting a product shipped

Qualifications

- 5+ years of Software Engineering industry experience

- High degree of competence writing backend applications or microservices in Python 3

- Experience with the design and implementation of REST APIs, preferably using FastAPI

- Strong preference for candidates who also have Java experience

- Experience and comfort building cloud-based components on AWS

- Experience in SQL schema design, queries, and implementing queries with SQLAlchemy

- Understanding of design patterns, multi-threaded systems, and automated unit testing

- Comfort with Git and build automation tools such as Jenkins

- Eagerness to both review peer code and have your code reviewed

- Strong sense of ownership and passion for building clear and maintainable code

- Experience working with a fully remote, geo-distributed team
