HedgeApple is looking for a motivated programmer to join our growing development team. This position is ideal for someone with some programming experience and excellent communication skills who is interested in gaining experience with software development. This is currently a work from home position that prefers local applicants. Hours are full-time Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CST.

As a member of the development team, you will collaborate with marketing and management to maintain and build our Ecommerce web application. Other responsibilities include working with the database, automating workflows, and coordinating with other departments to manage projects and brainstorm technical solutions.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience in software development, preferably with Python
• At least one working source-available project (can be public or submitted privately)
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Passion for problem solving

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with Django or a similar web framework
• UI/UX development experience
• Ecommerce experience
• Knowledge of AWS or other cloud-based infrastructure
• Bash / Linux CLI
