ONSITE ONLY from DAY ONE - NO Remote work.

Duration: 6 to 12 months
Rate: $42 to $55/hr. on Corp-to-Corp or $66,000 to $88,000 on our W-2 (Depends on Experience)

For this SDET role the HM wants to see Python, Robot Framework and Selenium experience

** Software Development in Test (SDET) w/ background in automated software test frameworks - Robot Framework, Python and selenium are the tools -Also looking for some exposure to AWS (Amazon web services) as they are upgrading devices to AWS Med device is not required but would be a plus. Need to be able to work onsite from the DAY ONE.

We are seeking an SDET (Software Development in Test) Engineer that will be responsible for ensuring software quality within complex medical device products through the development of automated and manual software test protocols and software/system specifications. This position requires knowledge in the application of software testing methodologies, software test case management and reporting systems. A background in automated software test frameworks and architectures as applied to capital equipment as well as some knowledge of testing either backend web-based systems and/or mobile applications is also desirable. The candidate should bring a systems approach to problem solving and the ability to understand complex electromechanical systems.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Leverage programming skills and test fixture knowledge to design and develop a software automation framework and tests.
  • Automate new manual test protocols while extending existing automation framework and tests.
  • Leverage experience in software testing methodologies, software test case management and reporting systems to develop verification protocols and reports for client's products.
  • Ability and willingness to define/update/execute both manual and automated test protocols and document results in test reports.
  • Leverage experience and knowledge of systems design, software testing, and medical devices to design and develop software verification plans, protocols, and reports for client's products.
  • Design and develop test protocols and scripts from the ground-up.
  • Perform test protocol execution and document results in test reports
  • Analyze test results to assure quality of existing and new functionalities.
  • Recommend design improvements or corrections to engineers throughout the development process.
  • Participate in the continuous development of the QA Teams standard practices and procedures.
  • Support manufacturing by designing/verifying test fixture software or other software used during production.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent technical Degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4 - 5 years of experience in automating software interacting with complex medical device and it's components
  • Experience in two or more of the following: Python programming, Java programming, C# programming, C++/C programming.
  • Self-starter and detail oriented.
  • Experience with automated test tools and white-box testing strongly preferred.
  • Experience/Exposure to AWS and Unix is desired.
  • Prior software quality assurance experience in a product development environment preferred.
