What You Will Be Doing

(THIS POSITION WILL START FULLY REMOTE BUT MUST BE OPEN TO WORKING IN THE BAY AREA EVENTUALLY, UNDETERMINED TIMELINE)

(THE IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THIS POSITION WILL HAVE EXCELENT C++ and PYTHON EXPERIENCE)

Overview

This is a very high-visibility position developing Linux driver and embedded software for a major social networking company, a AR/VR company and a fully autonomous driving company.

MSEE, MSCE, or comparable STEM degree required. Candidates with strong math, RF, or physics background are highly encouraged to apply.

Primary Skills

Real-time software for fixed wireless and moble wireless systems.

Excellent experience with C++

Physical layer verification: RF calibration, Tx pre-emphasis, Rx de-emphasis, phased array antenna beam steering, Tx power control and Rx automatic gain control. Power-up DC offset and LO feedthrough compensation.

Link-layer management software: TDMA frame allocation, DAMA, ARQ, Association, Acquisition, A-MPDU and A-MSDU

System power management: power load leveling and thermal management.

Reliability: Watchdog managers, alarm management, shut down and power up protocols for module activation/de-activation. SEU event detection and protection.

Educational Qualifications

BSEE or equivalent STEM degree required; MSEE or PhD highly desirable
