Senior Full Stack Developer (Python/Django)

Position Description

As part of the Digital Transformation organization, you will be part of a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, energetic, and high performing team helping to develop cloud native applications and services. We are looking for engineers who have deep experience building solutions and have the versatility and enthusiasm to take on new problems. While we are a flexible team, some team members may have a focus on front-end development (our solutions span both web and native mobile development) while others may focus more deeply on back-end services. Ultimately, we recognize that the world of technology is constantly evolving and our team members do the same.

As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will collaborate with technology peers and business partners to design, build and deploy new software using agile/XP/test driven development using a wide range of technologies and solutions. Candidate will be focused on developing well-designed, efficient code that adheres to the latest industry standards and assist in coding, testing, and debugging new software or making enhancements to existing software for customers. You will be working with designers, developers, and product owners in a small team setting to integrate software components into fully functional software systems spanning multiple business areas.

• Develop software platforms and frameworks in an agile environment
• Maintain services, monitor system health, and continually look for improvements
• Scale systems sustainably using continuous deployment and automation
• Research and implement best design principals in order to improve reliability and velocity
• Work in an agile environment and engage in practices such as XP, test driven development
• Works with technical team to understand problems with software and resolves them
• Resolves customer complaints with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements from customers
• Collaborates with product owners, designers, business analysts and other Architects on the development of secure information technology strategy and solution architectures


5-8 years working as a full-stack software engineer, building enterprise applications
5+ years overall software engineering experience
Hands-on experience working on Django
Rock solid at working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts
Understanding of REST APIs, the document request model, and offline storage
Experience creating, optimizing, and integrating Application Programming Interface (API) calls; background in API development preferred
Hands-on experience in Python
Experience working with modern source control GIT/SVN
Experience with cloud development and architecture, particularly AWS and infrastructure as code
Knowledge of release management and CI/CD and SDLC concepts
Proven knowledge of a RDBMS SQL and NoSQL
Proven understanding of TDD and related workflows
Proven understanding of OO concepts and design patterns
Proven understanding of messaging technologies such as SQS, RabbitMQ
Proven understanding of caching technologies such as Elastic Search and Redis
Experiencing in leading teams

Est. Salary Range (Colorado Only): $75K-$150K*
