Fair's software engineers develop the next-generation FinTech technologies that change how millions of users access mobility. Our products need to reliably handle information at scale, and process millions of dollars. We're looking for engineers who have a passion to help build an outstanding automotive FinTech platform. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work on a specific project to Fair's needs with opportunities to switch projects as you and our business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to display qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Consumer team, you will work closely with the web and mobile engineers to build backend functionalities that power Fair's consumer experience. This role will report to the Director of Engineering. Responsibilities: Brainstorm with product managers, designers and engineers to conceptualize and build new features Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems critical to Fair's consumer experience Identify project risks and propose and build team consensus around project alternatives Own the delivery of high-quality results by applying engineering and QA best practices Assist our customer support team in triaging and resolving production issues. Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes Mentor other engineers Required Qualifications: You have a strong technical background, including 3+ years of professional experience with Python.
