An enterprise financial company is looking to build out one of their research and development offices in San Jose by hiring staff level software engineer who will be building out a highly scalable cloud platform with Spark and Python.

This specific project will be used company-wide to help customers access information and data on a massive scale. As a staff engineer, you will be building, scaling, and implementing this new framework for the company. You will work to implement data pipelines, data structures, and machine learning algorithms.
Required Skills & Experience

• BS in Computer Science or Related Field
• 3+ years of experience working with Python or Object Oriented Code
• Experience working with Big Data Technologies (Hadoop, Spark, etc.)
• Spark Streaming experience
• Knowledge with databases and frameworks

Desired Skills & Experience

• Work with messaging tools such as Kafka
• Strong algorithm and data structure experience
• Previous fin-tech experience
