Our client is seeking two test engineers to join their data engineering teams. In these roles they are looking for the new team members to have a strong understanding of the engineering side of the house paired with true test automation experience. It is extremely important that these two team members be comfortable speaking up through the testing and engineering process to help push the organization forward.

● Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality KPIs, e.g., DRE and quality-of-service uptime

● Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents for completion and testability

● Define testing strategies and scope for user stories and technical development tasks

● Provide estimates on testing efforts to Product and Engineering team members

● Document meaningful and maintainable test plans

● Engineer solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness of testing cycles, including full-stack tests, integration tests, and CI

● Contribute to existing test-automation repositories

● Script, run, monitor, and analyze load tests to identify bottlenecks

● Perform regression testing appropriate to application and system changes

● Identify, investigate, report, and track defects

● Deliver high-quality features and infrastructure to production

● Publish release notes to stakeholders

● Continuously learn new tools, technologies, and testing disciplines

Top Skills Details:

1. Experience within Python as a test engineer

2. Experience with Ruby as a test engineer

3. Previous experience with test design (page object model) and overall test automation

*Any experience with Neo4j would be a huge plus*

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

While no industry experience is required for this role, one position will sit on the Interoperability team so any FHIR/HL7 knowledge would be a plus.

● A track record of improving quality

● Expertise in software QA methodologies, tools, and processes

● Expertise in test design

● Expertise in test automation frameworks, and scripting tests (preferably in python or ruby)

● Expertise in test-plan documentation and execution

● Knowledge of web technologies and complex systems

● Experience working with data warehouses, data lakes and ETL pipelines (AWS, Athena, Redshift Spectrum, Postgres, SQL, etc)

● Proficiency in querying relational and graph databases

● Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

● Experience with data quality and data validation is a plus

● Experience with data analytics and visualization tools is a plus (Chartio, Tableau, Looker, etc)

● Experience with Spark using Scala is a plus
