Must-Have Functional Requirements:

1. Brilliant data communicator who can find data nuggets, translate data into human insights and stories that drive change in business strategy and tactics
2. Self-starter with proven ability to work in ambiguous situations, set expectations, manage to deadlines and perform well under pressure
3. Understanding ecosystems, user behaviors, and long-term trends to create relevant datasets and associated visuals
4. Extremely comfortable working with data quickly, efficiently, and methodically to know the data you work with inside out
5. Extensive knowledge of data storytelling, business intelligence best practices, data visualization and data manipulation

Technical Requirements:

1. Intermediate-advanced experience in SQL and familiarity with Hadoop (Hive and Impala):
   • Working in Hadoop and Hive primarily, and automating analyses and authoring pipelines via SQL and Python based ETL framework
   • Ability to query from large data set in SQL, analyze and being able to extract what the data is telling us or pointing to us
2. Advanced expertise in creating powerful interactive visuals and story-telling through Tableau/Power BI:
   • Certification in either or both
   • Building key data sets to either empower operational and/or exploratory analysis
   • Evaluating and defining metrics (existing and creating new ones)
   • Building and analyzing dashboards and reports that can bring out business insights
   • Understanding root causes of changes in metrics; being able to study metric patterns
3. Development experience in scripting language, primarily Python and R
4. 2-3 years of experience on ETL and data transformations
   • Skilled at data exploration; able to quickly transform and synthesize data from multiple sources and identify optimal data structures to support end-state reporting/dashboarding needs
5. Strong presentation techniques using Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel, Visio:
   • Intermediate to advanced knowledge in creating relevant, succinct and crisp presentations, in order to present data-based recommendations, ad-hoc data mining, experiment results, etc.
   • Presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and highlight actionable insights
6. Closely collaborate with business users to translate data requirements into clearly defined technical requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

1. 3-4 years' experience in semiconductor industry, supply chain, services business
2. 2 years' experience analyzing and interpreting data, drawing conclusions, and defining recommended actions
3. Structured, data-driven and quantitative problem-solving approach
4. Strong written/verbal communications and presentation skills
5. Knowledge of statistics (e.g. hypothesis testing, regressions)
6. Knowledge of creating user stories in JIRA is a plus
