A client in Nashville, TN is looking for a Full Time Senior Data Engineer to join their team. The team is responsible for data analytics and analytics as a service for internal clients. In this role you will need to have a programming mindset to work with this data. You will be working with data in the cloud so will need experience with data pipe lining tools for the cloud. As a senior on the team you will help guide the team and mentor more junior employees on the correct way to do this work. Translate business requirements into data pipelines and data stores to support of business requirements.Conceptualize, design and deliver enterprise and departmental data solutions to support business intelligence, data warehousing and reporting and machine learning requirements.Lead, mentor, and support the Data Services team with methodologies, tools and technical knowledge while acting as interface between the Global and regional teams.Enable internal groups with self-serve analytics while championing adoption of NAM Data Warehouse.Monitor the costs and use of delivered tools, diagnose and highlight areas of improvement and efficiency.Implement solutions that are reliable and scalable to meet the service levels associated with mission-critical solutions.Participate in and enhance our DevOp practice to insure highly available solutions and quick issue resolution.Perform assessments (Proof of Concepts) of the latest tools and technology to solution and define the future technology roadmap.Provide feedback to the delivery and management teams to improve data acquisition (structured and unstructured), warehousing methodologies and tools.Work with Data and Solution Architects to define and implement migration strategies from legacy systems to cloud architecture and technologies.Provide team feedback to optimize delivery of our solutions. Minimum Requirements5+ years of experience architecting data-related solutions on cloud platforms such as: Amazon Web Services (AWS).Demonstrated experience with primary AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, EMR, S3, IAM policies, Cloudwatch, Cloud Formation, SESDemonstrated experience with Cloud Services for data handling and database technologies (DMS, Kafka, Spark, Redshift, Athena, Hadoop, Airflow, etc.).Demonstrated experience with modern programming languages such as Python, Scala or Java.Knowledge of Data Management, Integration and Data Quality tools, such as: Alteryx, Trifacta, Informatica Power Center, Informatica Cloud, and Oracle Data Integrator. Desired SkillsBachelors degree in Computer Science, IT Management.
